I ran some security checks on this site and it did not qualify as an ABSA site. It may look like the site but it isn’t. I entered some make believe account numbers and pins and it still allowed me to the next page to type in my password. Then it supposedly sent me a text message to my cellphone that i had to input on the next page.
Same test done on the real ABSA site didn’t even allow me to enter a make believe account number and move on to the next page. So just a warning to my South African readers, beware! Oh, and just to mention, I’m not even an ABSA customer…so where did they supposedly get my details from?
ABSA haven’t put this up on their site yet so I hope they pick up on it soon.
